Tue, 2013-06-18 08:47
5 stars. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Pensacola-Century is dedicated to helping the poor and homeless in the community. There are a number of ways in which this is accomplished.

By providing low cost items such as clothing, furniture, household goods, etc in our 4 thrift stores, we enable our customers to furnish their homes and cloth their families. In times of crisis, such as fires, e...

4 stars. My name is Joshua Cuhapman. Previous to staying at the Mission i was at a halfway home. The mission seems to have the goal of helping everyone who comes to the gate. I feel at home here and pray daily for everyone. It gives someone a stable enviroment with structure to help someone get their life in order. god bless.

5 stars. Since becoming disabled, applying to social security and the long process, I ran out of savings and have become unable to support myself. The mission has allowed me to stay here, helped me with my application process, taken me to get my scripts and have helped me in every way they can. I am very grateful to them.

Review of Every Child Ministries by JoeO

Tue, 2013-06-18 08:14
5 stars. The best thing about Every Child Ministries is that they are constantly reaching out to those in need. The directors, John & Lorella Rouster, are eager to help whomever they can, all in the name of Christ. They operate on a small budget, but their service has great consequences. By working with the nationals in Ghana, the Congo, and Uganda, they have helped those most vulnerable to abu...

Review of EVAN OGLESBY CHARITABLE FOUNDATION by Evanoglesby

5 stars. Small town...BIG DREAM

I was 12 years old when the Evan Oglesby Charitable Foundation started. I'm a former NFL veteran who grew up in a small town where resources were limited. I never met a professional athlete before, so I grew up thinking television was another world because there was no example for me to follow to become successful. There were a few from my hometown who went profes...

Review of TAY-BANDZ INC by n8weber

Tue, 2013-06-18 07:21
5 stars. Tay-bandz is a great organization run by volunteers whose sole goal is to find cures for childhood cancers that were unavailable to them. I am quite honored to be member of the tay-bandz board. The tay-bandz volunteers know too well the multifaceted challenges that face families diagnosed with pediatric cancers and it shows in their organization. The focus is on the medicine and identi...

Review of SAFE SITTER INC by Jim PVHC

5 stars. Our organization has been teaching Safe Sitter for 18 years. I've been teaching classes for over 4 years. Safe Sitter is an exceptional resource for teaching kids some very important skills; not only for baby sitting, but for life. We always recieve very positive feedback from the kids and they leave the class excited about what they have learned. Safe Sitter is a great confidence buil...

Review of Operation Smile, Inc. by bad experience

Tue, 2013-06-18 07:10
1 stars. If you don't mind be barraged by phone calls by solicitors after you donate wanting to bleed every cent from you, give. If you value your privacy and abhor robot calls, don't give. Very bad ratio of money donated and what actually goes to the kids. If you do give don't give them your real phone number. Great idea for a charity, but poorly run.

Review of Feed The Children, Inc. by tom leedom

Tue, 2013-06-18 07:08
5 stars. Feed the Children play a vital role in partnering with Wings of Faith to help serve a “third world nation”, The Native American Indian. Because of the generous donations of goods we receive from Feed the Children we are better enabled to provide badly needed supplies to the impoverished Native Americans that live in remote high mountain desert areas of the Southwest. This wonderful org...

5 stars. I have a special needs daughter. When I was in need of a lift for her motor scooter because I can't lift it and our van is not big enough, I looked online and found Variety! Our lives have been changed forever. Sometimes having special needs children you feel helpless, but after meeting Deb I have a whole new energy. Not only did they jump right on getting us the lift we needed for the...

Review of Starlight Children's Foundation Midwest by AR2013

Tue, 2013-06-18 05:38
5 stars. I've had the pleasure of working with Starlight as a volunteer and YES board member for the past 5 years. I have witnessed first hand the positive changes that Starlight has made on the children and their families. I know Starlight will continue to enhance the lives of terminally ill children and my hope is that more families take advantage of their services.

Review of COMMUNITY PRESCRIPTION SUPPORT PROGRAM INC by ladygab

5 stars. These folks all though volunteers and go above and beyond the call of duty. I have been going there for the past four years. They have helped me get my meds when I was unable to afford them. I also appreciate the fact that they allow students to rotate in their facility to talk with us to see how they can improve what they can do for their patients in the future.

I also volunteer when ...
