Review of Hope Stone Inc by Anna Banana

Wed, 2013-04-10 12:02
5 stars. I have been a believer and supporter in Hope Stone for many years. My children and I have all enjoyed classes at Hope Stone. Jane Wiener's internal sunlight and incredible enthusiasm for bringing the arts back into childrens' and adults' lives is unmatched. As well as the classes, Hope Stone takes classes to schools that do not provide art in any way. Hope Stone also has an amazing dan...

Review of Peninsula Bridge by collin

Wed, 2013-04-10 11:58
5 stars. I have been on the board of Peninsula Bridge for over two years. The organization provides invaluable opportunity for students to transform their expectations about what is possible in their lives. To hear their stories and see the program live during the summer makes one recognize the difference one can make in a child's life...and not for somebody far away, but for our own neighborho...

Review of Sanlaap North America by natasha1202

Wed, 2013-04-10 11:44
5 stars. Sanlaap NA is unique in many ways but two reasons particularly come to mind. 1) As many reviewers have already mentioned, they provide full transparency to how their funds are used and utilize almost 100% towards building homes and education facilities for the women in need. 2) Sanlaap NA is unafraid to bring to light the brutalities these women face in their everyday lives. Without tr...

Review of MATTHEW 25: MINISTRIES INC by KDBD

Wed, 2013-04-10 11:33
5 stars. Matthew 25 and the Mettey family are great people! I have had the previlage of working with them professionally as well as on a personal level and you could not ask for a more devoted organization to helping the poor and underprivilaged people of the world.
They spring into action in a time of crisis and distaster, to ready what is needed at the site to help people.
Their organization an...

Review of Operation Support our Troops America by SUNSHINEHART

Wed, 2013-04-10 11:21
5 stars. I joined after meeting with OSOT at the Rockin for the Troops concert which is one of the best fun raising events I have ever been to. Everyone there is having a great time and telling stories of family members in the service. You cry and laugh with everyone around you and you always go home meeting new friends. I volunteer for OSOT because everything brought in or dontated to this org...

Review of HEARTS FOR LOVE WORLDWIDE INC by Margaret33

Wed, 2013-04-10 11:21
5 stars. I have fond memories of my first encounter without Jenny and Loryjacobs, both of Hearts For Love Worldwide. It was a gloomy day for me and Tusemezane children center. We were pondering the best way to throw in the towel. We did not
know where the next meal for the orphans would come from, were had no teacher not cook due to lack or salary allowance. I and the secretary Lucy were the only...

Review of Sunnyvale Community Services by ChrisL

Wed, 2013-04-10 11:05
5 stars. Helping out at the Sunnyvale Community Services center is always a great experience. The staff are very organized, and after working there several times now, it's easy to see how much the center helps the community.

Review of REBUILDING TOGETHER SILICON VALLEY by donsnyder

Wed, 2013-04-10 11:03
1 stars. Rebuilding Together SV not only provides needed services for the community but builds a "family" atmosphere with the staff and volunteers. I work as a volunteer for two other NGOs, and RBT-SV ranks number one. If you read the letters of appreciation posted at the office, the comments from the homeowners tells it all. Seeing the happy homeowners and getting to know them is priceless.

Review of THROWAWAY PONIES by Kandy Kay S.

Wed, 2013-04-10 10:57
5 stars. Throw Away Ponies has been around for awhile now. I do not live close enough to work with them on daily basis, but if I did, I would. I have spent years working with other rescue organizations and for a time ran my own riding program for autistic children. Doing one or the other is a lot of work, but doing both to help horses and people heal is an astronomical task that few would even ...

Review of National Firefighters Endowment by Patrick28

Wed, 2013-04-10 10:44

Review of Pfc. Richard L. Vanover Veterans Village by Lori59

Wed, 2013-04-10 10:43
5 stars. What a great service the Vanover Veteran's Village is providing for those who sacrificed so much for us. I am a proud donor of this organization even though I'm only making my first visit there myself next month. John Vanover has a vision and I am proud to say that I am helping, even if only in a small way, to help make that vision a reality. Our veterans deserve so much more than they...

Review of Mayan Families by Janspana

Wed, 2013-04-10 10:41
5 stars. It is my pleasure to have spent one month out of two years volunteering for Mayan Families. Their staff is very capable, and helpful, and they all serve to work toward one goal: To provide food, education, clothing, health care, and just about any service they can provide to help the poor people around the mountains and Lake Attitlan in the Panajachel, Guatemala area. I saw first hand ...

Review of Habitat for Humanity Kansas City, Inc. by plkrueger

Wed, 2013-04-10 10:39
5 stars. Home is where my Heart is & Habitat for Humanity Kansas City steals my Heart every time! Sometimes I get to paint, lay flooring, put up walls or clean up the houses to get ready for a home owner to move in. The most amazing part is knowing that my hands and labor have helped someone's family become stronger & safer! Helping with Habitat for Humanity KC has also made me recognize coming...

Review of Community Health and Men's Promotion Summit (CHAMPS) by DeJH

Wed, 2013-04-10 10:29
5 stars. CHAMPS is a well organized community event that allows for individuals who are in need of numerous health screenings to receive the attention that they need but are unable to get due to their health disparities. I learned about CHAMPS will I was unemployed, wanting to give back to the community. They allowed for me to still use my expertise in health care when I did not have a job.

Review of National Firefighters Endowment by Robert84

Wed, 2013-04-10 10:10
5 stars. This is truely a nonprofit that gives back to help other firefighters get much needed equipment. You see and get shown where the money for the equipment go's. I get to listen to the video's of departments that show why they need to have a certian piece of equipment. It is the ones who give the money to this group that has imput on how and who should be awarded the grant. It is just so ...

Review of Glamourgals Foundation, Inc. by shaquinajns

Wed, 2013-04-10 10:07
5 stars. I joined Glamour Gals over the summer of 2012, transitioning to my senior year in high school. My life has been changed by Glamour Gals and my favorite resident, Ray. I met Ray my second time volunteering, and I'm so happy I did. Ray made me realize how happy people can be just by having conversations and getting to know new people. Every time we visit, Ray doesn't want us to leave. I ...
