5 stars. Long before Vicki and her Sierra Leone family arrive, the roads and footpaths out of Freetown are lined with thankful, eager villagers awaiting them. They travel by rented car, and walk miles off the more passable roads to reach groups of sometimes only two or three families, bringing food, medicine, hope, and love. The school is thriving, the children dressed in uniforms that Vicki an...

5 stars. The NFE volunteers show that brotherhood does not stay in just one department or one state it is a force in which you can not stop. When you get a group of brothers and sisters together there is no goal that can't be reached and the NFE strives to reach every goal and help in anyway they can.

5 stars. Hi there, my name is Jennifer, but please call me Jenna. I found Charity Cars out of a desparate google.com search trying to find help in getting a car. My car was in a wreck and I am on a fixed income so I couldn't just up and get another car. I have multiple sclerosis. Big words, so I just call it MS. I was diagnosed in 2008 but could of been diagnosed years before, just never had th...

5 stars. This is my third year of being a board member at the Columbus Community Kitchen. I first volunteered here over 10 years ago with a church group. When I saw the impact on the community and real concern and caring of the staff, I knew this was a place I wanted to do more. That personality and culture continues and now the Kitchen has been able to open a second location to serve the needs...

5 stars. HorseNet does exceptional work with rescue horses. While they are not as high-profile as rescues such as Day's End, they nonetheless have beautiful, well-cared for animals and dedicated volunteers. Their farms are not what some might call "beautiful" or "modern", but such is life when you live off donated time and money.
When I first started volunteering at HorseNet five years ago, it ...

5 stars. I had the opportunity to volunteer with HFC after graduating from university. I had the most amazing experience traveling with the group, and it really affirmed by belief in small-scale NGO work. Nothing seemed wasted, the contact with the local community was genuine and beneficial, and the people I met were absolutely incredible. Really amazing stuff and I would recommend it to anyone.

5 stars. Noah's Arks is the rescue of last resort for those at the end of the line. Dogs dragged along roads from the backs of cars, dogs beaten, tortured and left for dead, dogs starved and abandoned, dogs burned... The litany of abuse is endless and horrific. Dogs brought to shelters after suffering this sort of abuse are unlikely to survive or to be deemed viable potential adoptees, so when ...

1 stars. Master Moy Lin-‐Shin, by all accounts, was a kind, caring and generous soul who improved the frail health of his childhood years through the study of Tai Chi at a Shaolin Monastery in China. After moving to the West, he selflessly set out to impart the age-‐old wisdom and health benefits of Tai Chi to the general public.
One wonders, therefore, what Master Moy’s thoughts are from beyo...

5 stars. Kris Kelly: I am SO GLAD she was born! What else can you say about one human being taking care of and helping these precious animals in need find homes and medical care if needed. She is one of the most amazing people I have EVER come across in my life. God bless her and her organization. INCREDIBLY bright, honest, sincere and loving to both 2-legged humans and our 4-legged children of...

5 stars. My son was in a car crash in 2011 which resulted in severe TBi. Another mother of a brain injured son told me about this group which had helped her & her son so much. Lisa Moss, the founder, is so supportive & she knows first hand the devastation of having a brain injured loved one. Informative packets are given. Monthly support groups help us feel not so alone. Being with others who u...

5 stars. I attended a WANDA event and met some of the single mothers in the program. I was really impressed by the determination of these women and what they said about how the program helped them to save money towards building assets and make important personal connections. WANDA also has very smart and passionate group of volunteers who are dedicated to helping the program participants succeed.

5 stars. Operation Troop Appreciation and Kristen Holloway were awesome. Not only did they send us exactly what we had requested, but had a very fast turn around time and were very prompt in email exchanges. OTA goes above and beyond in sending troops what they really want and need and it is a blessing to have an organization such as theirs catering to our troops.

5 stars. The presentation was age appropriate, hands on and rich in content. Tom was great at engaging the kids and they learned a lot. I highly recommend Save the Whales for any elementary school aged kids who are studying the ocean ecosystem.

5 stars. Operation Troop Appreciation was amazing. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and we received several care packages from this organization. It really is a great morale booster and lifts the spirits of everyone when a care package received. You guys and gals are awesome!!!!!!!!!!
