Review of RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES OF THE SOUTHWEST INC by Aiona B.

Fri, 2013-04-12 23:32
5 stars. I had the unfortunate circumstance to need the services of the Ronald McDonald House in Lubbock, Texas. I was referred by a social worker at the hospital because of my child's unexpected stay in the NICU for two weeks. Without the RMDH, I would not have been able to be in close enough proximity to be able to breastfeed my son. I am positive he did so well because they offered this serv...

Review of INTERNATIONAL EXOTIC FELINE SANCTUARY INC by crystalball77pam

5 stars. I took my first tour here last year. I was very impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of the staff. They were very knowledgeable, safety for the animals and the visitors was a high priority, and they took the time to answer any questions to the best of their ability. If an animal became upset with the visitors, we were quickly moved away so that the animal was minimally distu...

Review of Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights by EndScientologyNow

Fri, 2013-04-12 22:19
1 stars. It appears that Ms. Kerry Kennedy is now involved with a Scientology front group, Artists for Human Rights, and is using the reputation behind the RFK Center to promote the aims of a dangerous cult. Scientology has been under FBI investigation for Human Trafficking, Forced Abortions, Child Labor violations, just to name a few of their human rights abuses. One only needs to read the rec...

Review of THE LITERACY ALLIANCE by sannarumma

Fri, 2013-04-12 21:53
5 stars. I originally started volunteering with the Literacy Alliance in my senior year of high school in order to fulfill the community service requirement for a scholarship. The experience I had being a part of the Literacy Alliance actually led me to participate more than the required time for the scholarship. I enjoyed putting on puppet shows, that were based off of books, and I feel that w...

5 stars. I have been working for AIWR as a volunteer for over a year now and have enjoyed my time with them greatly. Their support staff is excellent, and the cause they work for is a very important one. I've been teaching English to a young Afghan girl over Skype, and I think the experience has changed both our lives. It is quite moving how energetic and optimistic she is about her future in s...

5 stars. First and foremost I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to all of Jennifer Ramsaran's loved ones, both family & friends. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who knew and love her.

Having read many of the exchanges surrounding this specific case, as well as the "reviews" I believe that the source of the "conflict" is in the failure of some to understand what our organization do...

5 stars. St. Augustine School Alumni International or SASAI has been sending poor and bright students to St Augustine's School here in Tagudin for a few years now. I am at present a scholar of SASAI. True to their words, SASAI provided us with everything we need in school. To all the people behind this great non-profit organization, thank you and keep up the good job!

5 stars. I'm known as, Want to be independent again. Some of of us are there to receive help, and others to give help. I have watched people's lives change in a positive direction because of the blessings from this charity. Just being able to sign in and read the positive messages from others sometime is just what you needed to get you through the day. In my opinion Free Charity Cars is a Win W...

Review of Operation Smile, Inc. by Donor D

Fri, 2013-04-12 19:38
1 stars. I saw a TV story about Operation Smile and was moved to make a handsome donation. I then went to check them out but they are not rated. I looked at their IRS Form 990 for 2011 and was shocked by the numbers. In 2011 they collected $48mill. Of this they spent $3mill on grants. The rest went to Salaries - $7.7mill ; Office expenses - $6.4mill ; Travel - $4mill ; Fund Raising - $3.2mill ;...

Review of Veterans First by Guy J.

Fri, 2013-04-12 19:36
5 stars. I am a former Board member for Veterans First, and I have been providing pro-bono Paralegal services to the Veterans First clients since 2004. Without exception, the Officers and Staff of Veterans First have always impressed me with their professionalism, dedication, and heartfelt empathy for the plight of Orange County's homeless Veterans, I have been proud and more than happy to make...

Review of Sweet Dreams for Kids by KimberlySueAnn

5 stars. My infant nephew received some great pajamas while in the hospital for an unexpectedly long stay. A lot of other kids on his surgical floor at Amplatz Children's Hospital also got pajamas from Sweet Dreams for Kids that same day. They were all so excited! It seems like a small thing, but having cozy real pajamas can really bring a sense or normalcy and comfort. Thank you!

Review of WASHINGTON COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY INC by Volunteer2503

Fri, 2013-04-12 19:21
4 stars. I personally was involved in the Feline Intervention Program and I found the requirements of even the volunteers were set to expectations and the facility provided a fantastic environment for the volunteers and the animals themselves. The facility really has captured the state of being that the animals need to connect with people again and vise versa, and brought it to life. In my posi...

Review of HERA Women's Cancer Foundation by John159

Fri, 2013-04-12 18:54
5 stars. I cannot think of another nonprofit that has more heart and soul than HERA Women's Cancer Foundation. HERA was founded by Sean Patrick in 2002 after she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Sadly, Sean succumbed to her cancer in 2009 but her outstanding spirit and vision live on through the organization.

One of HERA's primary vehicles for involvement and fundraising is the Climb for Life...

Review of NATIONAL JUNIOR TENNIS LEAGUE OF INDIANAPOLIS INC by geel

5 stars. The NJTL is a non-profit founded by Arthur Ashe in the late 60s as a way to enrich the lives of children through the game of tennis. Ashe believed that tennis was a life long sport and by learning the game he could not only teach kids the game of tennis, but at the same time develop other necessary skills to enhance a child's life such as his/her character and healthy lifestyles.

The NJ...

5 stars. I've been working as a volunteer English teacher for about six months and have enjoyed every moment of it! I work with both a man and a woman who do amazing work for a non-profit in Afghanistan, and for whom learning English would help their career. Any time an issue has arisen, such as one with scheduling conflicts, the team at AIWR has been very quick to respond and help. AIWR is won...

5 stars. It is so amazing to see such happy faces when the children get a special pair of pajamas to help their hospital time pass a bit more comfortably. Thank you for all you do Sweet Dreams for Kids! You really make a difference to so many who often have extensive stays at the hospital and so little to smile about while dealing with cancer! Job well done!
