5 stars. An excellent community effort working to support the arts! A website calendar invites people near and far to attend events and highlights individual artists as well.

5 stars. Our family has been fostering for MBR for over two years. At-risk dogs' lives are saved on a regular basis, given the best care, and adopted into loving, stable homes.

5 stars. My name is Amanda xxxxxxxx. I am medically retired veteran. I needed help paying part of my rent to my landlord by the end of this weekend or she will start paperwork for 3-day eviction come Monday. I was homeless this year and I underwent Cancer treatment as well. I am grateful that there is an organization on Long Island who can assist us vets with a hand when we are down and out. I ...

Review of Charity Music, Inc. by Andrew65

5 stars. I relocated to Michigan from San Diego and I was looking for a non-profit organization that has a great purpose and is committed to their cause. Via the United Way website, I found Charity Music. Being a musician, I looked into the charity and I was truly impressed. What they do to promote music for the community, especially children and the military, is truly outstanding! Their 'Instr...

1 stars. I was so disappointed in this shelter. It was filthy, the staff was very rude and inconsiderate. They claim to be a no kill but while I was walking dogs I overheard the staff picking out animals to euthanize. I felt ill and will NEVER volunteer for this nasty shelter again. They make you feel out of place and as if you are a burden because you want to volunteer with the animals. They h...

Review of PROJECT SAFE INC by emnicholos

Tue, 2014-04-22 07:47
5 stars. This is an organization that truly makes a difference! Project Safe engages all of the community to best serve their clients. Project Safe not only provides shelter to ensure safety, but provides many follow-up, outreach, supportive, and group environments to ensure that clients are educated and empowered in their lives in the future. I do not know what the Athens community would do wi...

5 stars. I have been helping with Multiple Breed Rescue since September of 2013. I have been welcomes with open arms into their organization and have made friends who I hope will stay with me for the rest of my life. I truly feel passionate about this rescue in particular because of the way they operate. They will not overwhelm themselves and know their limits. They post regular updates on dogs...

Review of CaringBridge by katieteal

5 stars. CaringBridge has been an invaluable resource to my family during the past two years, as my mom has been battling ovarian cancer. We use the free website to communicate with our large extended families and my parents' extensive network of friends. It would be exhausting, if not impossible, to keep all of these people in the loop without CaringBridge. I am constantly told by friends and ...

Review of TRI LAKES CARES by jjtcm

5 stars. This is a well-run organization, staffed by competent, friendly and caring employees and volunteers. Some clients rely on TLC for regular sustenance; others come in for desperately-needed temporary help. This organization strengthens the community in so many different ways: helping folks in need, but also bringing people and groups together to gather donations, volunteer their services...

5 stars. Three years ago, I was "Adopted" by Multiple Breed Rescue. Ever since, I have been volunteering at events, with dogs, with Marketing/PR and for the second year now, I am a board member. The founding principles of MBR have inspired me and are what drives me to continue to grow our presence. MBR is not just a rescue for dogs; it's a service to the community. MBR offers assistance to fami...

5 stars. We donated our Aviator to Cars for Kids and I can say with absolute sincerity they handled everything with a tremendous sense of professionalism. It's not often in todays world that people meet high expectations, but they did and exceeded in every way! An awesome organization from top to bottom!

Review of Texas Litter Control by Lana6

Tue, 2014-04-22 06:54
5 stars. I have had one pet spayed and one pet neutered at Texas Litter Control. What I really like, and appreciate, is that they are so reasonably priced. It makes it affordable for people like me who live pay check to pay check and love their pets to get them the care they need. I found the staff very knowledgeable and proficient. They are very, very busy but also very organized so things mov...

Review of National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. by St.Vincent

5 stars. The National Breast Cancer Foundation has been a wonderful blessing to our Hospital! They stepped forward to help us provide free sceenings to underserved women in our community--a growing and needly population! In addition, they've stepped forward to help fund other intiiatives that support that mission in tangible ways. Their staff is amazing and so personable. They are completely de...

5 stars. I am a Suicide Widow. Those words will never ever lose their gravity or shock value. BUT, because of the Alliance of Hope for Suicide Survivors forum, I know I'm not alone. Even though I have huge support from friends and family, there are times when there is noone who will understand except those who have gone through and are going through the same thing.

I had not experience a close b...

Review of APFED by mgospodarek

5 stars. When Emily was first diagnosed at 10 months old, doctors recommended taking her off all food and beginning drinking elemental formula exclusively. We didn’t really know how to cope and daily functioning was difficult for not only us as parents, but understanding how to support our daughter. When we were connected with APFED we finally were able to understand and be educated on what was...
