Review of Create Now, Inc. by Afasrafa

5 stars. I volunteered with this organization for 5 months, and worked closely with several of its core members. It was a delight to serve with them, a team which had a good sense of humor and which put in hard work to keep the nonprofit running smoothly. I also had the chance to go to a couple of the workshops Create Now put on for their youth - one was a mural project, which I enjoyed partici...

Review of Miracle Flights for Kids by Kim_76

34 min 15 sec ago
5 stars. When my daughter needed out of state medical care, I was overwhelmed by all the "extras", flights included. A friend told me about Miracle Flights for Kids, and I hesitantly called them up, prepared to have to answer a hundred questions, and to be made to feel like a 2nd class citizen because I couldn't afford to take care of the flights for my daughter. This didn't happen. Everyone I ...

5 stars. My son was diagnosed before birth with a CDH at 25 weeks. Breath of Hope was the only site we found where things were reassuring, and more loving. Elizabeth was amazing from the start and still is, the care package she sent was wonderful. I emailed her with every question I had, or just to have someone to talk to who I thought understood me. She followed my sons progress from birth thr...

5 stars. I found BOH while I was still pregnant. We went in for our 20 week ultrasound and were told our baby had CDH. BOH was the first website we found and the information on the site was so much more reassuring then other sites we had found. I didn't really get too involved until after my son was born and home. It has been a great resource and Elizabeth is so incredibly helpful in times of n...

5 stars. I am a huge boxing fan and have for many years followed these champions and I am thrilled that they have joined such a fine organisation as Global Village Champions Foundation. If I was a young man I would have joined as a volunteer and payed my way to help out.

Review of Brent Eley Foundation by DesireeW

5 stars. My family never had to use Brent's Place as a safe place, for when our daughter was diagnosed with her Infant Accute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, we lived close enough to Children's. But, I know many families who have had to stay here and I can tell you that Brent's Place is amazing!

It definitely starts with the staff, who pour their hearts into their jobs everyday to make sure that these ...

5 stars. I was an American missionary in eastern Mongolia when my Mongolian wife gave birth to a baby girl with a cleft lip and a cleft palate, and, a few months later, in 2007, we discovered, a major heart defect. When some other organizations were unable to help us CCCI did. Even though they had never worked in Asia before as Pam put it, "God would not let me sleep till I agreed to help your ...

Review of The Seany Foundation by millerbrian1

5 stars. Besides being a donor, I've had the opportunity to volunteer a couple of times at Seany Foundation auctions. The generosity of the donors, the commitment of the foundation members and the tangible good it does in helping fund pediatric cancer research made my volunteer experiences at these auctions truly memorable.

Review of The Cherished Hands Foundation by handmeday

5 stars. I have performed several volunteer opportunities over the years and I would have to say that this has been the most fulfilling experience. The organizers are whole hearted about making sure this organization succeeds. The foster children love coming to this. This is especially good for singles or students who have a 'family shaped hole' in their heart. You will feel like the children a...

Review of GENTLE BARN FOUNDATION by Wendy McH

3 hours 2 min ago
1 stars. Still no changes at The Gentle Barn, just more slander of former employees and volunteers. Well, maybe there is a little more oversight now that they are under the scrutiny of several entities, including the CA Attorney General. I won't mention who all the others are, surprises are fun.
Since I left the barn, a number of animals have passed away, though old, their last days could have b...

Review of RED RAIDER SOFTBALL INC by annegabbymia

5 stars. Red Raider Softball has been a wonderful experience. We began looking for our oldest when we were very disappointed with the local leagues. Now she is learning so much and has a tremendous amount of fun. Our youngest now plays and we spend our weekends at the field...and love it. The coaches are great. The board members are all so approachable. Besides all those wonderful aspects, they...

5 stars. I started taking my foster daughter to The Cherished Hands Foundation Saturday Academy in September 2012. Getting her to do anything above and beyond 'required homework' is always a struggle. But when it comes to getting up on 'sleep in Saturday' she NEVER complains and is ALWAYS eager to get up and go.
The Founders are excited about what they do and provide for foster youth. Their glas...
