In memory of Michelle Humanick. Adopted herself Michelle and I went on to adopt two lovely daughters before her sudden passing in 2010.

Why it's important: My son was born with a rare chromosome disorder that causes developmental delays. He has come a far way with help from a program that provides speech and occupational therapists that have worked with him since he was a baby.

The Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia rescues, accepts and adopts out many homeless cats and dogs. We also spay or neuter each animal before adoption to reduce the pet overpopulation problem in the Golden Isles.
