Electric Theatre Company (ETC) is a gem. Their productions are top notch. ETC has some very creative people in the company and they do everything from commedia to world premieres. They run 7-8 shows per season. Their outreach to the community and in particular to students is commendable. ETC runs a conservatory for actors and offers an intensive study abroad program in Italy during the summer - participants study commedia and Italian and at the end of 3 weeks perform in Italian in front of an Italian audience.
This season ETC started Out on a Limb, a series for company members to try things they've always wanted to do, to go, well, out on a limb. Audiences have been treated to readings of new plays, cabarets, comedy, and clowns, and the season isn't over yet.
Finally, there's the commitment, the passion and the dedication of the company and staff at ETC. They are some of the warmest, most caring people, and that comes through to their work on and behind stage.

I have an indirect link to a story about this group. I was the Patroit Guard Riders ride captain for a Vietnam Vet's funeral in Jackson TN. One of their clients was our honoree that day.
Michael had been homeless for many years. months prior to his death, he had been working with OSDN and had found employnment a home and more important, reconciled with his family.
Had it not been for Operation Stand Down NASHVILLE- Michael most likely would have spent his last days in a vacant lot tent city too weak to fend off the predatory efforts of others.
Instead, he was in a hospital and the woman who loved him at his side. His family felt like things had turned for him and he had made ammends never knowing he was going to be sick and die when he did.
Michael is not the only story of success, but the only one I have first hand knowledge of. I am proud to be PGR and that PGR has partnered with this organization on a state wide level.
I wish we could get one started here in Jackson TN and Memphis regions! I would surely take an active role!

When we needed funds to bring a 29 year old female bi-lateral amputee to the US from Nicaragua, Partners International Foundation stepped up to the plate and facilitated the fund raising to make it happen. When we first approached the organization, the answer was yes on the first phone call. Thank you.

Anita and her staff are truly amazing. They have assisted our military families in so many ways. I do not know what we would do on the base without them and all of their wonderful donors.

I have been lucky enough to be a performer and project director for the first Production in Eugene, OR. I have also performed for the NASPA conference in Seattle, Washington and the Service Nation Mission Serve event in Washington D.C. I'm currently the Program Director for the Starkville, MS Telling Production and just recently spoke as a presenter at the Northwest Network Conference at Portland State University.
My experience with the Telling Project has been a positive one. I have seen veterans and dependents grow as leaders and seen first hand civilians reevaluate their views on the military, veterans, and the current conflicts. As a Director for a student veterans organization I wanted a Project that gathered veterans together to share their experiences, challenge and provide the community to listen and gain new perspectives, address the generalizations that are bestowed on veterans, gather veterans from multiple campaigns to hear each others stories, and assist in the fight of PTSD and reintegration of our veterans.
The Telling Project does all of these things in an innovative way; and I can't thank the Telling Project enough for taking the initiative to encourage veterans to share their stories to the community.

Every November I attend a retreat for military veterans conducted by Buddhist priest and veteran, Claude Anshin Thomas. The Fallen Wariors Foundation does an excellent of organizing. The setting is in the Oregon Wilderness, excellect for reflection. Every time I attend I feel enriched from the sharing and activities. The Fallen Warriors provide a very healing service to the NW veterans.

This organization is totally dedicated to getting Army Divers, theirs families, and their friends together to remember the past, stay current, and work towards the future "Good Times".
The USADA is managed by a great set of volunteer board members with the association's interests truly at heart.
Keep up the fabulous work! And, thanks for your continued service to the field and the brotherhood (and yes, in that, I mean the sisters too).

In August, 2004 I was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme and was told that I had six months to live. Luckily, I was able to survive. Natalya contacted me and asked me to share my story with a new website that she was creating. Through BT Buddies, I have been able to share my experience with others. I want all GBM patients to know that they have hope. Natalya has offered support for me and has let me contribute to to her website by involving me with projects like her book, mask project and other various articles on the website.
I'm convinced that BT Buddies will impact the lives of very many people in the brain tumor community. Not only in the UK, but all around the world. It has definitely made an impact for me!

I have supported this non profit for a few years now, and as I do so remotely, living in the United Kingdom I keep abreast of their program via updated emails and facebook. The british music industry supports this non profit and many working musicians have pledged their affiliation with AMP. Rehabilitating at risk youth through the arts is a task that should not go unrecognised. Keep up the good work!

I began performing for children in Bay Area hospitals last year through Pickleberry Pie. The first thing I realized is how "golden" Pickleberry Pie is with the staffs at the different hospitals. The nurses and other staff members see the positive effects the performers have on the children and their families and no price can be put on that. In fact, their is no price as the hospitals pay nothing for this wonderful service.
As a paramedic for the past 25 years and as a children's music performer, I have never experienced the appreciation for what I do more than when performing for sick children. I can't help but choke up myself when mother's start crying out of gratitude when my band comes in and starts performing for their child.
My hope is to see Pickleberry Pie expand and be able to serve every children's hospital and pediatric ward across the country.

Alsalamu Alaykum,
I was a single divorced mother raising a son without any child support and working full time making 1,500 monthly when I began to work on my masters degree. Thanks to Allah for Ayman Fadel's organization that made it possible for me to complete my degree and secure a better life for myself and my son.

I have attended 3 Artposiums, including being the local coordinator for the Artposium in Steamboat Springs. Everyone involved in the organization is incredibly dedicated, talented and inspiring. They are creative "out-of-the-box" thinkers with an uncanny ability to find common threads linking topics, ideas and people together to include ART in the mix.
