Leadership

Bill Strathmann
Chief Executive Officer

Bill Strathmann is Network for Good's CEO and is a member of its Board of Directors. He is a social entrepreneur, who throughout his career has traversed sectors, bringing good business practices to corporations and nonprofits alike. Bill came to Network for Good from BearingPoint, where he provided strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions consulting to corporations and nonprofit organizations across the nation. With Andersen Business Consulting, he developed and led a consulting practice serving large nonprofits including the Nature Conservancy, National Geographic Society, National Association of Home Builders and the United Way. Throughout his career, Bill has been an influential speaker on the topics of philanthropy, the role of technology in fundraising, corporate social responsibility, strategic planning, performance management and mergers and acquisitions. Bill is a co-author featured in the book, People to People Fundraising - Social Networking and Web 2.0 for Charities. He has a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Haverford College and a master's degree in business administration from the Darden School at the University of Virginia. Bill is Vice Chair of The Social Enterprise Alliance and also serves on the boards of Our Good Works and The Shohola Scholarship Fund. He also serves in advisory roles for the National Council of Nonprofits, Independent Sector, BBB Wise Giving Alliance and the Alliance for Effective Social Investing.

Katya Andresen
Chief
Strategy Officer
Katya Andresen is Chief Strategy Officer of Network for Good, as well as a speaker, author and blogger about nonprofit marketing, online outreach, social media and fundraising. In addition, she is an adjunct professor of communications at American University’s Key Certificate Program and serves on the board of NTEN. Katya has trained thousands of causes in effective engagement, and her marketing materials for non-profits have won national and international awards. She is the author of the book, Robin Hood Marketing: Stealing Corporate Savvy to Sell Just Causes and was featured in the e-book, Nine Minds of Marketing. She is also an author featured in People to People Fundraising - Social Networking and Web 2.0 for Charities. Fundraising Success Magazine named her Fundraising Professional of the Year in 2007, and she has since become one of its regular columnists. Before joining Network for Good, she was Senior Vice President of Sutton Group, a marketing and communications firm and a marketing consultant overseas in Ukraine. She also worked for CARE International. Katya traces her passion for good causes to the enormous social need she witnessed as a journalist prior to her work in the non-profit sector. She was a foreign correspondent for Reuters News and Television in Asia and for Associated Press and major US newspapers in Africa.

Bob Deily
Chief Financial Officer

Bob Deily manages and coordinates Network for Good's financial and accounting activities. Prior to joining Network for Good, Bob was the founder and owner of MBAWare, an online retailer of business software for CPAs, CFOs and other financial professionals. He was the CFO and EVP of Finance and MIS for the North American subsidiary of Swisscom and was a financial management consultant at CGI-AMS for clients like AT&T and Verizon. Bob has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Steve Turner
Chief Technical Officer

Steve Turner is responsible for the development and operation of the technology that powers Network for Good. Steve comes to Network For Good from washingtonpost.com, where he was VP Technology and CTO. Steve brings more than 20 years of experience leading large global development projects at BrassRing, Curl Corporation, Authoria, Primavera Systems and Lotus Development. Steve holds a B.S. degree in applied chemistry from Nottingham, England, and a master's degree in high tech business administration from Northeastern University in Boston.

Nonprofit and Donor Solutions

Dave Matusiak
Solutions Manager
Dave supports DonateNow customers as well as donors in his role at Network for Good. A 2005 graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Architecture, Dave has spent the last several years caring for customers in the homebuilding, management consulting, and insurance industries. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, live music, working with computers, and making people laugh. A lifelong hockey fan, he can often be found at the Verizon Center cheering for his beloved Washington Capitals.

Tom Finan
Solutions Specialist

Tom offers support to donors and partners that use Network for Good's services.  Tom graduated in May 2011 from the University of Vermont where he majored in Political Science and African History, and is originally from the great state of New Hampshire. In his spare time, Tom enjoys mountain biking and snowboarding.  Most of all, prior to his move to the DC area, he enjoyed watching his Boston Red Sox play at the incredible Fenway Park.

Annika Pettitt

Solutions Specialist
Annika supports EventsNow customers and offers general support for non-profits and donors. She comes to Network for Good fresh from American University where she graduated in 2010 with a double major in International Studies and Political Science. Before coming to Network for Good, Annika worked and volunteered with many non-profits in her home town in Upstate New York. Outside of work, she likes to try out perspective new hobbies, read, and watch her beloved Yankees play ball.

Julia Stenson
Solutions Specialist
Julia provides general support for non-profit organizations that use Network for Good's services. She has worked and volunteered with numerous non-profit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. While traveling the world on Semester At Sea, her passion for helping and understanding others grew. She graduated from University of Oregon in with a B.S. in Sociology with a minor in Business Administration. Outside the office, Julia enjoys hiking, biking, and painting.

Abby Watt
Solutions Specialist
Abby provides general support for donors and non-profit organizations that use Network for Good’s services. She previously worked as the Administrative Assistant for a non-profit HIV/AIDS service organization where she had the privilege of helping organize and coordinate numerous fundraising events including the local AIDS Walk and annual charity dinner/auction. Through this experience, Abby gained a passion for working in the non-profit industry which has now brought her to Network for Good. In her free time she enjoys travelling, photography, and spending time listening to live music at the local venues.

Charles Ball
Customer Experience Manager

Charles joined Network for Good as Senior Sales Associate. He has extensive experience providing Technical Education Counseling services to the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Through working with Clarity Technologies and later with CIBER Inc, Charles guided and assisted individual, non-profit, university, and corporate clients, in effectively meeting their technical training needs. In addition, while at CIBER Inc., Charles worked closely with clients in meeting short and long term technical staffing requirements. His clients included the University of California San Francisco, Williams-Sonoma, Kaiser Permanente, and Skidmore Owings and Merrill. In his spare time, Charles has worked with his local neighborhood association on projects such as park beautification. He enjoys reading science fiction and hiking.

Laura Tubesing
Customer Success Manager

Laura manages the Customer Success team where she is responsible for ensuring that DonateNow, EmailNow and EventsNow clients leverage the full power of Network for Good’s services and expert guidance to meet their online engagement goals. Prior to joining Network for Good, Laura worked for Infobase Publishing in a library sales role where she helped educate librarians about eBooks and how to effectively integrate online resources into schools and public libraries. Laura holds a B.A. in English and French from James Madison University. In her free time, Laura loves traveling, cooking, softball and cheering for the Washington Redskins!

Annie Olmsted
Nonprofit Account Coordinator
Annie works with both the Sales and Customer Service team to help make sure nonprofits are approved and have access to Network for Good’s many online fundraising services. She recently relocated from Los Angeles where she worked in sales for a successful matchmaker. However, after a few years she realized that her true joy came from volunteering and decided to make the switch to the nonprofit sector. She also missed the pleasure of having four seasons. Annie is delighted to once again reside on the East Coast and be working to help Network for Good and all its nonprofits attain their goals. Annie received her B.A. from Florida State University in International Affairs with minors in Economics and Sociology. In her spare time she enjoys movies, yoga, and spending time with friends and family.

Jocelyn Harmon
Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Jocelyn is passionate about helping nonprofits to succeed online so that they can change the world!  As Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Network for Good, she is privileged to lead the team to help thousands of nonprofits raise more friends and funds online.  Prior to joining Network for Good, Jocelyn was Director of Business Development for Care2, where she worked with some of the most respected national nonprofits, including ASPCA, Environmental Defense Fund, The Carter Center, Legacy and IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare) to help them acquire new donors, members and advocacy supporters online.  Jocelyn has been a member of the capacity-building community for nonprofits since 2000. She started her career at the Georgia Center for Nonprofits and then led the Development and Communications activities for the National Council of Nonprofits, an association of 22,000 local charities.  Jocelyn is also a recognized blogger and speaker on online marketing and fundraising. Her personal blog, Marketing for Nonprofits, is top-ranked on Alltop. She also writes a bi-monthly column for Fundraising Success magazine. Finally, she serves on the board of directors for NTEN (Nonprofit Technology Network).
Jocelyn has a bachelor's degree in literature from New York University and a master’s degree in sociology from University of Washington.

Allison Schwalm
Marketing Communications Associate

As a member of the nonprofit marketing team, Allison’s primary role is to help get Network for Good’s training, expertise and products in the hands of as many nonprofits as possible, so they can conduct stellar online outreach to advance their missions. Prior to her position at Network for Good, Allison managed outreach efforts for the American Diabetes Association Government Affairs and Advocacy Division’s diabetes epidemic action councils and industry groups, and provided project oversight to the Association’s National Youth Advocate program. Allison holds a B.A. in Sociology from James Madison University.

Caryn Stein
Online Community Strategist

Caryn leads The Network for Good online community to help facilitate instant answers for Network for Good customers as well as initiate communication between non-profits and thought leaders to share best practices, support and success stories. By connecting the best ideas, experiences and common challenges through our collaborative forums, non-profit professionals can directly discuss what’s working and brainstorm solutions for what’s not. Prior to joining the Network for Good team, Caryn lead the iVillage.com community and has over a decade of online community management experience.

Moussa Coulibaly

As part of Network for Good sales team, Moussa advises other nonprofit organizations to help achieve their fundraising goals through professional online marketing tools. He’s passionate about improving   the effectiveness of nonprofit organizations. Before joining Network for Good, Moussa worked as a financial consultant for PNC bank. He speaks French fluently, holds a B.S.in Management Information Systems from Southeastern University and is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration at the University of Maryland, University College.

Leah Craft

Leah advises other nonprofit organizations on Network For Good's affordable and effective tools for online fundraising and social marketing.  Leah enjoys learning about all nonprofit organizations and helping them to reach their highest fundraising and outreach potential!  Although a Kentucky-native, Leah spent 6 years studying and working in Europe and has been living in DC for 5 years.  She is passionate about languages, culture, travel, and helping others.  As the Hebrew Immigration Aid Society's Young Leaders Fundraising Chair, she spends much of her free time advocating for immigration rights.  The rest of her free time is spent with her 3-year old mini schnauzer.  Leah received her Bachelor's of Arts in International Economics and French from the University of Kentucky and is currently pursuing her Masters of Public Health at The George Washington University.

Prior to joining Network for Good, Michael led business development initiatives for a Chicago-based private investment company. He holds a B.A. in History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies.

Velma helps nonprofits to crystallize their mission and express the heart and soul of their organization by helping them to understand their fundraising potential with our online tools that have helped so many other 501c3s.  Velma is passionate about feeding the poor, politics, reading and exercising. Being born in Lima, Peru and raised in the United States she speaks Spanish fluently.  Prior to entering the nonprofit world, Velma helped organizations with their staffing needs as a recruiter for Accounting and Finance professionals.  Velma received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  Go Blue!

Lisa Stenholm

Lisa is a member of the dynamic Sales team providing nonprofits with essential donation and email tools for fundraising success. She relocated from her hometown of Chicago where she worked in sales for a  commercial real estate company, to the D.C. area where she broadened her resume to online marketing.  Lisa decided to make the switch to the nonprofit sector to fulfill her true passion of doing good. Lisa is excited to be working with Network for Good to further its mission of unleashing generosity for all its nonprofits. Lisa holds a B.S. in Marketing and Finance from DePaul University. She enjoys vegetarian food, movies, animals (most especially her dog, Harry), and spending any free time with family and friends.

Stacie Mann
Vice President of Partnership

Stacie Mann leads Network for Good's partnership efforts, including the marketing and promotion of our engagement solutions for good. Network for Good serves corporations by enabling charitable giving, rewarding customers with charity gift cards, incorporating philanthropy into their social media strategy and gaining consumer and employee insights through charitable initiatives. Partnerships include AOL, The Capital One No Hassle Giving Site, Causes on Facebook, Charity Navigator, Crowdrise, GuideStar, Johnson & Johnson, and Yahoo! among others.  She consults with corporations on charity campaigns and disaster giving response and has trained non-profits on how to effectively market their causes online as well as ways to use person-to-person fundraising. She is also responsible for the donor and partner portions of our own website www.networkforgood.org and the website Six Degrees, which launched in January of 2007 with actor and musician Kevin Bacon and brings a social conscience to social networking. Before joining Network for Good, she worked in the Interactive Marketing division of America Online managing their strategic e-commerce partners. Stacie holds a bachelor's degree in French and Marketing from Duke University.

Allison McGuire
Partnerships Program Associate
Allison McGuire is the Partnerships Program Associate at Network for Good. Allison brings to Network for Good congressional, human and civil rights, and international experience through her work on Capitol Hill, with organizations such as MassEquality, and UK Member of Parliament Karen Buck’s office. She moved to Network for Good from her work with Congress at the National Security Network and ProgressiveCongress.org. Through convening briefings and hearings, organizing events, and moderating panels, Allison created an extensive network and echo chamber on and off Capitol Hill. Prior to her non-governmental work, Allison served as the Senior Democratic Fellow on the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission under the Committee of Foreign Affairs in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is a Human Rights and National Security Reform Fellow with the Rockwood Leadership Institute and the DC Social Director with the Truman National Security Project. Allison formerly believed she would become an actor, and obtained a degree in Theatre Arts and Political Science from Boston University.
Kate Olsen

Director of Partnerships
Kate Olsen co-manages the corporate partnership practice at Network for Good.   As Senior Manager, Kate helps companies extend the reach of their cause-related initiatives and better engage with consumers and employees through charitable giving. In addition, Kate spearheads thought leadership projects including the Companies For Good blog, eGuides such as Cause Marketing Through Social Media and The Network for Good Online Giving Index. Kate also manages the website SixDegrees.org, which launched in January of 2007 with actor and musician Kevin Bacon and brings a social conscience to social networking. Prior to Network for Good, Kate practiced strategy consulting with the Boston Consulting Group, literary management with The Gersh Agency and community development through public-private partnership with The United Way of Greater Los Angeles and The U.S. Agency for International Development. Kate holds a BA from Bryn Mawr College, a MSW from the University of Southern California and a MBA from Georgetown University.

Amanda Coyle
Director of Organizational Development
As Network for Good's Director of Organizational Development, Amanda is responsible for conducting fundraising efforts, managing the board of directors, overseeing the Human Resources function, and assisting the CEO with additional organizational activities. Formerly with BearingPoint, Amanda was a consultant in the Nonprofit Sector where she participated in a variety of consulting engagements including Change Management, Merger Integration and Business Process Redesign. Prior to BearingPoint, Amanda was with Andersen Business Consulting where she served clients through Program Management, Strategic Development and Merger Integration projects. Amanda holds a bachelor's degree in Communications and Sociology from the University of Richmond.

Katherine Gerber
Executive Assistant
Katherine Gerber is the Executive Assistant to Network for Good’s CEO, Bill Strathmann, and CSO, Katya Andresen. In this capacity, she supports the entire NFG team and assists with fundraising activities. Katherine’s passion for realizing organizational opportunities to improve environmental and social practices is what drives her work. Prior to joining NFG, Katherine was the office manager for a small international nonprofit focused on product certification, and she worked to strengthen community concern for environmental issues with the Sierra Club and Environment America. She holds a B.A. in Sociology and minor in Environmental Studies from the State University of New York at Geneseo.

Debbie Lam
Director, Business Systems

Debbie Lam is the Director of Business Systems at Network for Good. Debbie is in charge of Network for Good donation processing operations. Prior to Network for Good, Debbie was a technical director for Agency.com, an internet consulting firm with a roster of clients in a wide selection of industries. Debbie's past work experience has included projects for Fidelity Investments, GTech/Washington State Lottery, Pacific Gas & Electric, and Openwave. She holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Deneka Taylor
Donation and Grant Support Specialist
Deneka is responsible for the day-to-day transaction processing including—but not limited to—check reissues, donation refunds and Electronic Funds Transfers. Before joining the Network for Good family, Deneka worked as a Client Service Help Desk Analyst for Ruesch International/Travelex, a company that offers international payment products specializing in foreign currency. Deneka has worked in Operations for other financial firms such as Smith Barney and H. Beck/Capital Financial Group. Deneka holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan College. In Deneka’s downtime away from the office she enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.

Malvika is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions at Network for Good. Prior to working for Network for Good, Malvika was in public accounting. She worked for various CPA firms in the DC area. Malvika holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland and an active CPA license.

Nana is responsible for accounts payable activities and expense reporting and reimbursement. Before joining Network for Good, Nana worked as an Accounts Payable Coordinator with Acsys Staffing. She is currently working towards her Bachelors degree in Business Administration, with a minor in Computer Studies and a certification in Human Resource Management at University of Maryland University College.

Tanya Lee

Tanya works on the Network for Good Technical Team where she helps to design and coordinate product development. Prior to joining Network for Good, Tanya worked for Deloitte Consulting, with specific focus in the area of child welfare. Tanya holds a Masters in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia as well as a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelors of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. She was born in the beautiful Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and grew up in Silver Spring, MD where she still resides today.

Debbie Dine
HTML/Web Designer, NPO Services
Debbie codes the custom designs for the Custom DonateNow pages that replicate organizations' web sites, provides web design support for Custom DonateNow customers, and provides web design and development support for other Network for Good projects. Prior to joining Network For Good, Dine designed web sites for area small businesses and nonprofits, including Maryland public schools, and she founded an award-winning children's literary web site. Her favorite charity is the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

As part of the tech team, Mark designs and codes the custom DonateNow pages and supports customers in their design and technical needs. Mark grew up in Switzerland, and, after completing studies in accounting, switched career paths to the web world. Prior to joining NetworkForGood, Mark worked in web agencies large and small, both in Europe and in the US.
