Meet the Network for Good team

 


Leadership

Bill Strathmann
Chief Executive Officer

Bill Strathmann is Network for Good's CEO and is a member of its Board of Directors. He is a social entrepreneur, who throughout his career has traversed sectors, bringing good business practices to corporations and nonprofits alike. Bill came to Network for Good from BearingPoint, where he provided strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions consulting to corporations and nonprofit organizations across the nation. With Andersen Business Consulting, he built and led a consulting practice serving large nonprofits including the Nature Conservancy, National Geographic Society, National Association of Home Builders and the United Way. Throughout his career, Bill has been an influential speaker on the topics of philanthropy, the role of technology in fundraising, corporate social responsibility, strategic planning, performance management and mergers and acquisitions. Bill is a co-author featured in the book, People to People Fundraising - Social Networking and Web 2.0 for Charities. He has a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Haverford College and a master's degree in business administration from the Darden School at the University of Virginia. Bill is a current board member and the former Chairman of The Social Enterprise Alliance and has served on multiple other nonprofit boards and advisory committees.

Bob Deily
Chief Financial Officer
, Network for Good.org
Bob Deily manages and coordinates Network for Good's financial and accounting activities. Prior to joining Network for Good, Bob was the founder and owner of MBAWare, an online retailer of business software for CPAs, CFOs and other financial professionals. He was the CFO and EVP of Finance and MIS for the North American subsidiary of Swisscom and was a financial management consultant at CGI-AMS for clients like AT&T and Verizon. Bob has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Brian Whalen
Chief Financial Officer, Network for Good.com

Brian came to Network for Good when the company acquired GiveCorps, where he served as CFO. Prior to GiveCorps, Brian was the CFO of Global Credit for PayPal and a member of the founding team of BillMeLater. Brian serves on the MassMOCA Technical Advisory Board. He has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master's degree in business administration from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.

Steve Turner
Chief Technical Officer

Steve Turner is responsible for the development and operation of the technology that powers Network for Good. Steve comes to Network For Good from washingtonpost.com, where he was VP Technology and CTO. Steve brings more than 20 years of experience leading large global development projects at BrassRing, Curl Corporation, Authoria, Primavera Systems and Lotus Development. Steve holds a B.S. degree in applied chemistry from Nottingham, England, and a master's degree in high tech business administration from Northeastern University in Boston.

Dan Cohen
Chief Growth Officer

Dan leads the organization’s nonprofit sales and corporate partnership teams. Dan has extensive experience leading sales, fundraising and partnership efforts for a wide variety of both, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, including KaBOOM!, the Washington Redskins, the Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals. A graduate of George Washington University and The Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, Dan also founded and ran a venture-backed social network for pet lovers called AnimalAttraction.com and serves on the Board of The Petfinder.com Foundation.

Susan Kearney
Chief Operating Officer

Susan Kearney is Chief Operating Officer at Network for Good where she helps thousands of small and medium nonprofits raise more funds online to fuel their good causes. She is a serial entrepreneur who has built successful businesses in the software, Internet, and digital content industries that were acquired by companies like Oracle and Siebel Systems. Susan is a graduate of the University of Virginia where she earned a B.A. in Russian Studies and Economics. She earned an MBA in Strategic Management from Pace University, and holds Graduate Certificates in Organization Development and Change Management, and also in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from Georgetown University. Susan is an elected member and Chair of the Falls Church City School Board and also serves on the boards of Northern Virginia Community College and the Women in Technology Education Foundation

Jamie McDonald
Chief Giving Officer

Jamie McDonald is the Chief Giving Officer of Network for Good. She joined Network for Good after the acquisition of GiveCorps, which she founded and launched in 2011. GiveCorps is an online software platform connecting nonprofits to digital givers. Jamie's mission is to spur people to give, act and innovate on behalf of communities and causes. She writes and speaks about online engagement, next generation philanthropy, and the rise of the millennial generation as a force for change. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Jamie was a Managing Director at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown, where she enjoyed a 16-year career. She lives in Baltimore with her husband and 3 children.

Customer Solutions and Operations

Dave Matusiak
Senior Manager
of Operations
Dave manages the Customer Solutions and Operations Teams at Network for Good, ensuring positive experiences for customers. A 2005 graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Architecture, Dave has spent the last several years caring for customers in the homebuilding, management consulting, and insurance industries. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, live music, working with computers, and making people laugh. A lifelong hockey fan, he can often be found at the Verizon Center cheering for his beloved Washington Capitals.

 Deneka Taylor
Senior Donation Support Specialist
Deneka is responsible for the day-to-day transaction processing including—but not limited to—check reissues, donation refunds and Electronic Funds Transfers. Before joining the Network for Good family, Deneka worked as a Client Service Help Desk Analyst for Ruesch International/Travelex, a company that offers international payment products specializing in foreign currency. Deneka has worked in Operations for other financial firms such as Smith Barney and H. Beck/Capital Financial Group. Deneka holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan College. In Deneka’s downtime away from the office she enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.

Emily Hendrix
Customer Solutions Specialist
Emily is dedicated to assisting nonprofits and donors achieve full giving potential. She is excited to join Network for Good as a recent graduate from the University of Virginia, where she received her B.A. in History. In her spare time, Emily loves trying new things and venturing to new places. As a major fan of history and museums, she deems D.C. as the perfect place to be.

Emily Wang
Senior Customer Solutions Specialist
As part of the solutions team, Emily provides assistance to all nonprofits and donors alike using Network for Good’s services. Hailing from Georgia, she graduated in 2011 from Emory University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Emily migrated to DC in pursuit of applying her business background to support the social sector. When she’s not helping others, she enjoys spending time outside with her beloved dog and exploring what the north has to offer.  She loves reading autobiographies and rarely lets a day go by without having a Wild Cherry Capri-Sun, her secret indulgence.

Monique Lebedew
Customer Solutions Specialist

Monique provides support to nonprofit organizations and individual donors that are cause driven.  She is a 2009 graduate of Virginia Tech with her Bachelor’s degree in Communication.  Monique has spent the last few years in the financial services industry and enjoys interacting with new people every day.  As a native New Yorker, Monique is a huge Yankees and Giants fan. A few of her passions include animals, Star Wars, cooking, and making others happy.

Susan Jed
Senior Operations Specialist

As part of the operations team, Susan helps to ensure that the donation and grant disbursement process goes as smoothly as possible for donors and nonprofits supported by Network for Good. Susan has worked previously in global philanthropy, nonprofit journalism, and also as a congressional staffer on Capitol Hill. Her early career was spent in the field of design and architecture, managing projects for both public and private sector clients.  She holds a master’s degree in social/public policy from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in design from Michigan State University. An avid world traveler, Susan loves to discover new places and cultures, and she also enjoys film, live concerts, great food and lots of chocolate.

Nonprofit Customer Success

Laura Tubesing
Customer Success Senior Manager

Laura manages Network for Good's Customer Success team, ensuring that nonprofit clients leverage the full power of Network for Good’s services and expert guidance to meet their goals. Prior to joining Network for Good, Laura worked for Infobase Publishing in a library sales role where she helped educate librarians about eBooks and how to effectively integrate online resources into schools and public libraries. Laura holds a B.A. in English and French from James Madison University. In her free time, Laura loves traveling, cooking, softball, and cheering for the Washington Redskins!

Alexandra Dalo
Nonprofit Success Coordinator
Alex is dedicated to helping nonprofits raise funds and communicate with donors online. She graduated with a Marketing degree from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland in College Park in May of 2012. Alex grew up outside of Boston, MA and is an avid sports fan, with her favorite teams being the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics. She enjoys making smoothies, shopping for shoes, and nice long jogs outside.

Annika Pettitt
Senior Communications & Success Specialist
Annika works to help our newest nonprofit customers get up and running with their services to be successful, long term fundraisers. As part of the Customer Success Team she loves to see nonprofits of all kinds become fundraising superstars for their individual missions. She comes to Network for Good from American University where she graduated in 2010 with a double major in International Studies and Political Science. Before joining the Network for Good team, Annika worked and volunteered with many nonprofits in her home town in Upstate New York. When not having fun at the NFG office Annika likes to try out new hobbies, pretend to be crafty, and watch her beloved New York Yankees play ball.

Charles Ball
Customer Experience Manager

Charles joined Network for Good as Senior Sales Associate. He has extensive experience providing Technical Education Counseling services to the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Through working with Clarity Technologies and later with CIBER Inc, Charles guided and assisted individual, nonprofit, university, and corporate clients, in effectively meeting their technical training needs. In addition, while at CIBER Inc., Charles worked closely with clients in meeting short and long term technical staffing requirements. His clients included the University of California San Francisco, Williams-Sonoma, Kaiser Permanente, and Skidmore Owings and Merrill. In his spare time, Charles has worked with his local neighborhood association on projects such as park beautification. He enjoys reading science fiction and hiking.

Marketing and Communications

Caryn Stein
Vice President, Communications and Content
Caryn leads Network for Good's marketing team and manages the creation, production and distribution of Network for Good’s wealth of content to help nonprofits better connect with donors and raise more money online. A graduate of Purdue University, Caryn has over a decade of digital media experience, focusing on user engagement, audience development, and custom advertising solutions for content marketing initiatives. Prior to joining the Network for Good team, she lead the online community at iVillage.com. When she’s not making the editorial magic happen, Caryn spends her time perfecting karaoke routines, making delicious jams and jellies, and crusading for wildlife – one frog at a time.

Eileen Bennett
Director of Partner Success

Eileen is leveraging 20+ years of ecommerce and online marketing experience, working closely with our partners to develop fundraising strategies which drive engagement and action with donors. Eileen comes to Network for Good from GiveCorps and helped drive the adoption and growth of the Bill Me Later payment platform prior to joining GiveCorps. Bill Me Later, a Baltimore area start up, was acquired by PayPal for $1B in 2008. In 2011, Eileen was tapped by the eBay (PayPal parent company) corporate M&A team to lead the development of business synergies for the GSI Commerce, Inc. acquisition. In this role, she was responsible for growing business results for retail partners through the adoption of relevant PayPal and eBay products and services. Eileen also spent several years with American Express, working with the nation's largest nonprofits, including United Way, American Red Cross, and Share our Strength developing programs to drive incremental donations and donor engagement. Eileen is a long time blood and platelets donor for the American Red Cross, and also volunteers with a regional animal rescue transport, shuttling shelter dogs along the East Coast (from kill shelters to approved rescues, where they will find forever homes).

Heather Fields
Director of Marketing
Heather came to Network for Good when the company acquired GiveCorps. Prior to GiveCorps, Heather was the Director of New Member Programs for PayPal. Heather brings 20+ years of online marketing and public relations experience to Network for Good where she helps fundraisers understand how our innovative solutions can help raise more money and inspire passionate communities of donors. She enjoys giving back by mentoring young emerging leaders. In her spare time, she is an avid Baltimore Ravens fan, Star Wars toy collector, and tropical beach enthusiast. She has a bachelor's degree in communications arts from Salisbury State University and a master's degree in communication studies from Emerson College.

Helene KahnHelene Kahn
Senior Associate

Helene works with new clients to develop online fundraising strateies that engage Millennial donors. Helene brings a wealth of nonprofit and higher ed experience from her work with GiveCorps, and previously she worked in the Office of Development at Syracuse University, where she was charged with creating a culture of philanthropy among students and young alumni. Helene received her BA in Public Affairs from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.  Helene is passionate about helping organizations do what they do even better by creating tools to engage and empower their donors, volunteers, and community members. She is active in her community, serving on the Board of Governors of Hillel at Syracuse University among other volunteer activities.

Kera Bradley Tyler
Marketing Communications Coordinator

Kera coordinates Network for Good’s nonprofit outreach campaigns in effort to empower organizations across the world to progress their missions and raise money for amazing causes. Kera comes to Network for Good from NBC4 right here in Washington, where she held the position of Community Affairs Coordinator and worked on the station’s popular public affairs news shows.  A graduate of Howard University with a B.A. in Sociology, Kera is an avid music lover who enjoys reading really long, über-complicated book series, playing tennis and spending time with friends and family.

Liz plans and executes outbound and inbound marketing campaigns and serves as a content writer for Fundraising123.org and the Nonprofit Marketing Blog. Before joining Network for Good, Liz worked in communications serving organizations in the arts, advocacy, and association spaces in Seattle and DC. An Oklahoma native and graduate of Oklahoma City University with a degree in Mass Communications, Liz enjoys bragging about her home state, serving as an advisor to her sorority’s collegiate chapters, riding her bike, Instagramming pictures of her cat, and listening to NPR.

Mark Gaswirth
Director of Sales
Mark joined Network for Good in April 2014 and is responsible for driving the Non-Profit division’s sales growth. Mark comes to NFG with over 10 years of SaaS sales and sales management experience with companies like Vocus and Infosoft Group.  A native of Florida, Mark is a graduate of the University of Florida with a BSBA majoring in Decision Information Sciences. Mark lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two children. On the weekends, Mark spends his time enjoying life in DC with his family, golfing or cheering on the Gators.

Senior Fundraising Sales Consultant
Ben helps nonprofit organizations strengthen their fundraising strategy and implementation with Network for Good's donation and email tools.  He is especially passionate about organizations that help feed the poor as well as those working to end domestic violence.  Ben received his B.A. in English from Colgate University.  He is a big supporter of all Boston sports teams, but also supports his local Washington Nationals.

Fundraising Sales Consultant

Julie is thrilled to be part of Network for Good’s sales team, focusing on empowering nonprofits with essential online fundraising tools and technology. Her background is in politics and community outreach and recruitment, most recently in the nonprofit sector where she organized a major fundraising event for one of the top breast cancer foundations in the U.S. Julie is passionate about cancer research, quality education, and empowering young women. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Temple University in her native city of Philadelphia, PA. Outside of the office, Julie is usually training for marathons and relays, watching football, and contributing to a blog she started with college friends.

Julie is delighted to be part of Network for Good’s sales team, focusing on supporting nonprofits with online fundraising tools and helping them grow their online strategy. Her background is in software sales, most recently helping small to midsized businesses build their online presence. She received her B.A. in business from Bloomsburg University in her home state of Pennsylvania. In her free time, Julie is cheering for the Baltimore Ravens, running for breast cancer awareness, cooking, gardening, and enjoying time with family and friends.

Kevin counsels nonprofit organizations on the impact that new technology has on their fundraising strategy and how the implementation of Network for Good's dynamic tools can drive results for them. He is passionate about organizations that center around youth development and pediatric care. Kevin received his B.S. in Marketing/Management from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a big college football fan and supports Penn State and The Big Ten. Kevin is native to Allentown, PA and enjoys movies, going out to the great restaurants in DC, and spending time with his family and friends.

Kyle consults with nonprofit organizations about how best to maximize donations via online fundraising channels. He has a specific passion for causes related to disease research, healthcare delivery, access to education, and environmental sustainability. Kyle received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and a Master’s Certification in Nonprofit Management from Virginia Commonwealth University. A native of the Greater Washington Area, he supports his local DC teams – the Redskins, Capitals, and Nationals.

Lisa Stenholm
Sales Effectiveness Manager
Lisa is a member of the dynamic Sales team providing nonprofits with essential donation and email tools for fundraising success. She relocated from her hometown of Chicago where she worked in sales for a  commercial real estate company, to the DC area where she broadened her resume to online marketing. Lisa made the switch to the nonprofit sector to fulfill her true passion of doing good. Lisa is excited to be working with Network for Good to further its mission of unleashing generosity for all its nonprofits. Lisa holds a B.S. in Marketing and Finance from DePaul University. She enjoys vegetarian food, movies, animals (most especially her dog, Harry), and spending any free time with family and friends.

Noah Griesbach

Noah is very excited to join the Network for Good team to help unleash generosity. Noah comes from the service industry where he focused on customer relations at some of the top concepts in the nation. He is very active with Great Shape! Inc. where he volunteers his time working with children in Jamaica. Noah is active in his community as well working with various volunteer organizations in the DC and Virginia area. Noah’s experience with small to medium sized non-profits has been invaluable in his ability to asses and determines the needs of his clients.

Patrick Drago

Patrick is passionate about helping nonprofits grow their online fundraising strategy. His background is in SaaS software sales helping small to medium sized businesses improve their digital marketing efforts, and he is thrilled to enter the nonprofit sector. Patrick attended the University of Richmond where he received his B.S. in Business Administration. He is an outdoors enthusiast, and native New Yorker who supports the Jets and the Mets.
