Customer Success Specialist (Bethesda, MD)
 

Network for Good is seeking a Customer Success Specialist to be part of a dynamic team of individuals dedicated to helping nonprofits raise funds and communicate with donors online.  This individual is responsible for assisting in all aspects of creating successful and satisfied customers, including implementing new account orientation, achieving renewals for annual customers and finding ways to delight customers.

The Customer Success Specialist strives to find ways to help ensure our customers are successful in their efforts to raise money for their cause. This position requires an individual dedicated to customers and with marketing prowess in order to touch over 6,000 nonprofit customers. The position reports to our Customer Success Manager and collaborates with all customer facing teams within the organization.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement 30-minute account orientation calls for new customers in conjunction with the Customer Experience Manager
  • Provide superior customer support via email and telephone to nonprofit customers
  • Work with team to gather market intelligence related to customers and improve win-back strategies to keep customer attrition low and success high
  • Implement outreach plan to encourage renewal of annual subscribers
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings and bi-monthly Customer Success meetings
  • Assist with special projects pertaining to Customer Success
  • Assist Customer Success Manager in reporting on results of initiatives designed to increase customer success and retention
  • Assist in implementing targeted customer communications

Required Qualifications

Position Overview
Network for Good seeks an energetic, creative, extremely organized and detail-oriented Summer Nonprofit Marketing Intern to help the nonprofit marketing team get our training, expertise and products in the hands of as many nonprofits as possible, so they can conduct stellar online outreach to advance their missions. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop a channel partner outreach plan consisting of popular nonprofit bloggers, state association and nonprofit federations
  • Pitch Network for Good content to channel partners
  • Create landing pages for Network for Good’s training resources
  • Assist with Network for Good’s highly popular and well-regarded Nonprofit 911 webinars, weekly e-newsletters, eBooks and online community

Marketing Campaigns Manager (Bethesda, MD)

At Network for Good we have the privilege of interacting with thousands of nonprofits each month.  We need your help to get the right online fundraising tools and training to the right nonprofits at the right time, in order to achieve our mission and generate revenue for our organization.

We’ve invested in a state-of-the-art tool, called Marketo, to analyze and automate our marketing efforts.  Now we need your help in providing the strategic and tactical know-how to drive great results.

Specifically, as the Marketing Campaigns Manager you will:

  • Lead the design and execution of marketing campaigns for Network for Good
  • Design and coordinate lead generation and lead nurturing programs to produce qualified leads for our fundraising sales team
  • Design and implement lead scoring for our organization
  • Drive revenue via direct sales through our website
  • Lead a small team of marketing employees and working with several vendors
  • Own our relationship with Marketo and be deeply involved in decisions around Salesforce usage
  • Work closely with our Content Strategist to develop and market content to drive interest in NFG and continue to build our brand as the thought-leader in online fundraising and outreach for small-to-medium sized nonprofits
  • Define metrics to measure and continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and drive revenue for the organization
  • Analyze and report on these key metrics on a regular basis with the senior management team
  • Help to inform our overall marketing strategy

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 5 – 7 years of experience and proven success in building complex online marketing campaigns that drive revenue

Network for Good enables cause marketing initiatives and charitable giving solutions on company websites through partnerships with Causes.com (leading social good application on Facebook), Capital One, Crowdrise, YourCause and several others including our founding partners AOL, Yahoo! and Cisco. Network for Good is a key player in cutting edge charitable giving initiatives and seeks a business development professional to grow our core licensing model in support of our mission to make it easy to give to any charity, anywhere online.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is confident with his or her ability to effectively advance existing lead relationships, aggressively target new partnership opportunities and close deals. This position will assist the Partnership Team with proactively cultivating leads via the Salesforce.com CRM database, qualifying all incoming leads, negotiating new partnerships and contracts and keeping a pulse on marketplace needs and trends. Responsibilities

Partnership Leads and Sales (70%):

  • Generate partnership leads among corporations looking to ‘do good’ by enabling online donations to charity, hosting a social media or disaster relief campaigns or rewarding customers or employees with The Good Card ®
  • Manage existing lead opportunities through sales cycle
  • Negotiate both standard and strategic deal terms and close contracts
  • Screen incoming prospects for partnership potential; in particular, evaluating how their strategic goals in philanthropy map to our corporate solutions
  • Inform marketing efforts based on marketplace demand and competitive positioning
  • Create tailored pitches to different segments of customers that demonstrates Network for Good’s unique partnership positioning as a provider of both the technology and expertise to execute successful charitable giving programs and campaigns
  • Maintain record of client needs; synthesize this information as needed into product enhancements ideas
  • Attend conferences and networking sessions to establish Network for Good’s name in the cause marketing and corporate responsibility space

Competitive Analysis and Pricing (30%):

  • Manage reports and dashboards in the Salesforce.com CRM to track and report on the effectiveness of our lead generation programs
  • Perform competitive and market research to identify leads
  • Collect key research and data supporting our partnership model and pricing
  • Maintain and evolve pricing strategy for licensed products and contribute creatively in product development that would add value to Network for Good via partnership

Experience and Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience with 5+ years related professional experience
  • Solid knowledge of the CSR space, online technology and the Internet, and passion about Web 2.0, blogs, social networking, etc. Ability to understand Network for Good's technology-driven model and experience with selling to fortune 500 corporations
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com (or similar CRM database) required
  • An upbeat, dedicated, client-oriented professional who has proven experience securing meetings (on the phone, in-person and over email) and closing deals

UI Developer

To support our growing business, Network for Good is seeking an energetic and hard-working Front End Developer to be part of a dynamic team of individuals dedicated to helping nonprofits raise funds and communicate with donors online. This individual will report to the VP of Technology and will work closely with program managers, offshore and on-shore engineering teams, and occasionally business users. This individual needs to be comfortable working in a complex engineering environment (.NET Platform) that also utilizes Salesforce.com. This individual will be the go-to person for front-end development and troubleshooting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with back-end developers to find ways to push the limits of modern Web technologies to create the best user experience; ensure that the visual structure of the UI remains consistent across multiple components and browsers
  • Lead definition and documentation of front-end coding standards. Enforce best practices in front-end development
  • Implement user-friendly UI design with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Participate in UI design discussions and evaluations
  • Work in a matrix team environment that includes product management, software development, quality assurance and information development

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience or training
  • 3+ years of professional experience working as a front-end developer implementing web applications that are compatible with multiple browsers on multiple Operating Systems
  • Must have strong programming skills in CSS, html and xhtml
  • Must have experience with at least one JavaScript library, with JQuery preferred
  • Must have experience as a member of a team using a version control system
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines and keep up with our fast paced, ever-growing environment
  • Experience with XML or JSON based web services is a plus
  • Familiarity with Microsoft IIS (IIS 6 and/or IIS7) and ASP.NET is a plus
